Beechwood will be delighted to have escaped Bird Avenue with all three points, after a 2-1 win against a rapidly improving St James Side, in a super game. Beechwood led early through a really well taken goal, but once James' got into their stride and equalised before half time, they were in the ascendency for the remainder of the game. And St. James' will have felt their luck had finally turned against their local rivals when they got a penalty with less than 10 minutes to play. But the spot kick was well saved, and as St James pushed for victory, Beechwood caught them on the break and finished clinically to secure the victory. Powerful all round display earned St James captain Harry McEvoy the Man of Match award.

Carrigaline United A came out victorious in this top of the table clash today. Carrigaline showed power and pace to over come a unbeaten Corinthians side. Goals Ian O'Donoghue, a double from Conor O'Driscoll and a Og saw Carrigaline 4-0 at the break. Adam Moore and Captain Dan Moloney were running the line and had a hand in everything that was good in Carrigaline's play.
This win was down to a outsanding performance from Man of The Match Pauld Gould and his defence partners James McSweeney, Brian Huxley, Rory Buckley and safe hands of Daniel Marnane. Carrigaline now sit 3ps clear and unbeaten at the top of division 5.
